Tribute to Our Class Officers
Where are our Senior Class Officers now?
This is a copy of the picture of our class officers from our 1964 yearbook. I was wondering how many still live in Crawfordsville, and what exciting things have happened in their lives? It would be great to have them add their bios to this class web page, or write a comment to this page. If you know where any of them live, would you please give them a, "Heads up"?
>>
By the way, The Athenian (for those who do not have a copy) said, "This year the doors of CHS opened to find a new and eager senior class. For a week in October the halls of CHS were filled with "Cans" and "Mice"during senior elections. The Gold and Blue parties worked endlessly toward the final casting of ballots to select class officers.
With the class working as a unit, the senior class play, Junior and Senior banquet, and the senior picnic were very successful."

This week is another important voting week for our Country!

Painted senior cords must be a midwest thing and even the other colors. Green for freshman, maroon for sophmore, grey for juniors and gold for seniors. I've asked people from southern Florida if they had painted cords when they were in school and they've never heard of them. We were the BEST and most creative. Shirley Moore Walling

Senior cords>>>
So, does this mean we all wear our senior cords to the next class reunion?
If so, I'd better start dieting, since I remember my cords had a 26 inch waist!
Well, about the cords, no, it does
not mean we have to plan to wear them to the next reunion. But if you can still wear them (like John
Thompson & Doug Galloway) that is fine!! We love to see them. Also, I remember the sophomore cords being red, not maroon. I really enjoyed wearing them.
About the cords & "Hag Day" I do believe that the painted SR. cords were indeed a mid-west thing. To my knowledge they no longer have a
"Hag Day" I do know that around C'ville, North & South Montgomery, they tend to have more designated dress=up days. Like HI. plus other countrys, etc.
Hi!
I'm the Becky A. that found my long lost friend through this site. Janny was a gift when we met at Mt. Zion....way back when we were 7. She is a better gift this time around. *laughing*
Due to this nice site I'm going to start one for the class of '66.

Hi!
This is Janny the other half of the long-lost buddies since childhood. This site has been a gift to both of us. Thanks to this site, I am now traveling to spend some long overdue time with the very best friend I have ever had in my life. From there, it will be on to good ol Crawfordsville. I can't wait to see Becky and relive all the wonderful memories we shared together. Thank-you CHSsixtyfour!! Without you, it would not have been possible.
Janny W.
